You may remember that Loxleys organised a charity raffle to raise cash for Molly Olly's Wishes, which supports children with terminal or life-threatening illnesses and their families, as part of our sponsorship of the Stratford Town Centre Food Festival.

The festival took place on September 21st and 22nd and was a huge success, with thousands of people pouring into Stratford. Our Loxleys stand showed off our wonderful rib of beef, giving people a taste of what they can get when they dine with us, while our chef Chris took part in a great farm to fork demo.

This year was the fourth year Loxleys has sponsored the festival and this year we wanted to do even more in 2019, so added a Win A Car charity raffle for Molly Olly's.

Tickets were sold in the run up to the festival as well as at the event, where visitors could see the brand new Citroen C3 itself at our stall.

The raffle was drawn by Molly Olly's trustee Rachel Ollerenshaw and the winner was lucky Sebastian Wojniusz who now gets the use of the car for a year.

We're also delighted to announce that through ticket sales as well as a series of VIP fundraising dinners, we've managed to raise a whopping £5,941.39 for Molly Olly's Wishes.

The charity grants individual wishes and donating therapeutic toys and books to both children directly and to hospitals throughout the UK and the cash will go towards that.

Rachel said: "The kindness and support that Loxleys have given to help Molly Olly's Wishes has been brilliant. It has been a great team effort and they have gone above and beyond to make a very real difference by raising funds and awareness.

"Despite the fact that they are very busy people, they have gone out of their way to do whatever they can. Thank you too must go to all the food festival organisers, businesses and individuals who helped sell raffle tickets and to those who bought them."

Our manager Jonathan added: "Backing a local event like the food festival is always a highlight for us, but this year has been even more special. Being able to support a local charity that does so much to help children and their families is a real privilege and we’re delighted to have raised this amount of money for Molly Olly's."
